Seeking Local Winter Adventures
It's only January and it already seems like we've had months of winter! With no trip south on the horizon, I am actively seeking out more local adventures to help me stay active, experience new things, enjoy good company …… and generally keep sane until winter is over!
A friend suggested that perhaps we (a group of female outdoor enthusiasts and wine drinkers) could find a cabin, cottage, or lodge that could offer a winter escape. Ideally this cosy cabin, with fireplace, full kitchen, comfy furniture and preferably a hot tub would be located near snowshoeing trails and great scenery. So, the search began!
Have I found a snowy Shangri-La yet?
Nope, not yet but I'm still looking.
What I did come across however was a wonderful blog by Laura Harris featuring some great local attractions; some winter, some summer, some I've been to, some I haven't. Check out the link below that features a trip to Parlee Brook Ampitheather near Sussex. Then, explore the rest of the blog for other local adventures!
Explore New Brunswick - Parlee Brook Ampitheater
Another awesome discovery!
As I explored, "Explore New Brunswick" further I discovered a great video on the Split Rock Trail. It is well worth watching and gets me all pumped up about our beautiful province. WATCH IT!

Past, Present and Future
While I continue my search for a perfect future winter getaway, I reflect on past and present winter adventures!
